Italy - Beaches, Forests and Vineyards of Tuscany
This new ride for 2026 is based at an agro-turismo near the coast in the historic region of Maremma. There are daily trail rides through this beautiful, natural and wild region of Tuscany where rolling hills meet sandy beaches and pine forests fringe the Tyrrhenian Sea. Known for its unspoiled landscapes, olive groves, and vineyards, this area preserves centuries-old traditions and authentic Tuscan culture.
This is Tuscany at its most natural and enchanting, a perfect blend of history, nature, and coastal charm.
Your guide, Sara, is an experienced and dedicated horsewoman passionate about their welfare and eager to share the beauty of Tuscany.
Rides are mostly at a walk with opportunities for trot and canter where the terrain allows. You ride through shady woods, scenic trails, and coastal paths. Full day rides include wine tastings and views of Cala Violina and Punta Ala beach (beach riding is permitted from mid-October to May).
You should be comfortable riding outdoors at walk, trot and canter.
The horses are sturdy, mixed breeds. You ride in a Western saddle but with two handed, English-style reins. The rider weight limit is 85 kg.
Riders stay at Il Cerro Sughero, an agriturismo on the edge of the forest, just a few kilometres from the Tuscan coast.
The property features five en-suite apartments/rooms converted from old stables, each with its own character. Rooms are spacious, airy, and simply furnished with rustic charm, tiled floors, and modern comforts including air conditioning, heating, and good Wi-Fi.
The on-site restaurant serves traditional dishes from the region, offering an authentic taste of Tuscany in a quiet, natural setting.

TRANSFERS are included at set times from Pisa airport. Your flight needs to arrive at Pisa before midday. The transfer to the ride base takes around one and a half hours. At the end of your holiday, the transfer back to the airport will depart after breakfast. Your return flight should depart Pisa after midday.
