Estancia Los Potreros

I had always dreamed of visiting South America and in November 2019 I stayed at Los Potreros in Argentina.

The riding is for all abilities which is great for families and groups of mixed abilities. What surprised me though was how good the riding was for experienced riders too. The riding groups were split by ability and then within the groups, there were enough guides to split the riders up if needed.

I absolutely loved riding the Peruvian Pasos! The gaucho games were also so much fun and I was able to relive my mounted games days. Whilst at the estancia we also got involved in the cattle work. This was brilliant and really reminded me of my time in Montana.

Another pleasant surprise was that the estancia wasn’t hard to get to. Plus it was only a couple of hours time difference which meant no jet lag – bonus!
