Wolves and Wild Horses - Portugal

Maria (this is their first In The Saddle holiday) Pedro and Mariana are truly great hosts who are in control of their horses and put their well-being above all else. There was great respect for the horses and their hard work, and they were truly caring in their dealings with them.
They took us on the most wonderful rides in the surrounding countryside, and Pedro was a truly great and knowledgeable host who enjoyed sharing his enthusiasm and love for the area with us.
I got a really lovely horse that suited my riding skills well. I experienced great responsiveness from Pedro and Mariana to my needs and limitations, and they were very understanding and flexible. I felt in really good hands.
The horses were beautiful, and they were really looked after and cared for. The tack was top notch. Everything was as it should be.

Do you have any comments about the accommodation and food?

We stayed in a really cozy and well-appointed house, where nothing was missing. The food was delicious, and there was plenty of it, and we felt really pampered. Especially our lunches out on the rides were something special: sitting surrounded by horses and eating a delicious lunch with a view of magnificent nature. It was really nice.

How could we improve the quality of pre-holiday information that we send?

Melina is a super good agent, who goes out of her way, responds quickly and makes sure you are in good hands and feel safe. And she shows genuine interest in you. It was really good service.

Do you have any other feedback for us?

My daughter and I are already ready to go on a riding holiday again. It was a really good experience, and we felt in really good hands, both Melina and Pedro and Mariana.
Melina was super good at guiding me in terms of which riding would suit me, who is not that confident, and that guidance was important and very much appreciated. And it is nice to know that you are not sent on a ride that is not safe, neither for yourself nor for the horses you will be riding. In that way, Melina is very responsible, and that is both reassuring and, as I said, appreciated.
