The Riding
The Accommodation
Do you have any comments about the accommodation and food?
Henry was a magician, he produced meals that were so delicious and also elegantly displayed.
The accomodation had some if the best bathrooms I've come across in the wilds of Africa. Comfy beds and a view of the plains.
Great care was taken over people's allergies.
All of the staff were very friendly and so helpful.
Before Your Holiday
Did you have all of the information you needed to:
How could we improve the quality of pre-holiday information that we send?
I love the booklet you send out. All of the information I need is at hand for the journey , for the riding and it always fires my excitement for the trip.
Do you have any other feedback for us?
When at Chundukwa the trip to Victoria Falls was fantastic fun, a not very easy descent to the "boiling pot", great views of the falls but the highlight was the lunch on Livingstone Island. Here we swam in Devil's Pool and looked over the falls- MAD! Beforehand I had no intention of doing this yet I'm so glad I did and it felt safe. Having swum, an excellent meal awaited us, having been pre-ordered with our chef.
I enjoy birdwatching, the gardens and riverside at Chundukwa, the boat trip into Similaha and when riding I was spoilt with an amazing variety of bird life and some new ones for me.
Cathy who has been on 56 In The Saddle rides. This ride is at walk or long mostly collected canters. With no lions you are able to spread out. My lovely chestnut was easy to move off my leg, willing to go where and at what pace suited me and never snatched the reins. You ride with individual reins. The saddles are so comfy. In the Simalaha Conservancy you ride through and over long grass, I found these horses so surefooted.
We saw a lot of game (Zebra, Wildebeest, Eland, Puku, Impala, Hartebeest, Sable, Giraffe, Red Lechwe, Buffalo) often mingled with the local cattle, with storks and eagles overhead. All the horses were in excellent condition and lived as a herd when not being ridden, mingling with the wildlife.
[Abbie from ITS replies: Thank you for your super feedback. We are thrilled that you enjoyed this exciting new safari and appreciate you sharing your experiences with us].
