Quinta do Rol - Portugal

Maddy who has been on 4 In The Saddle rides. Amazing experience at Quinta do Rol | Quinta do Rol has 17 beautiful lusitano’s which they use in the school. All are so well looked after and trained to a very high level. The lessons are private and the trainers are amazing - everything is about what you want to achieve (and have fun at the same time!). I did many of the advanced school movements on all the 5 horses I rode ( collection, half pass, leg yield, , passage, piaffe, flying changes)
You can try working equitation in the outside field which is all set up with the obstacles. I felt my riding really developed during my stay and I am now trying some of the exercises on my own horse!

Do you have any comments about the accommodation and food?

It would be nice to be able to eat outside on warm evenings, the whole group thought this. We did mention it to Rita. It was the only improvement we could think of!
Rita was so so lovely. The wine from their own vineyard is also excellent !
