Grizzly Ride

5 star rating   24 June 2026

Viooltje who has been on 3 In The Saddle rides. Disconnecting from outside world in pristine nature | The horses were exceptionally healthy and in excellent condition. They were well-fed, every minor scrape or wound was treated with cream each day, and not a single horse showed any signs of fatigue, even after eight days on the trail.

Do you have any comments about the accommodation and food?

The camping gear we were provided (tent, sleeping bag, and mat) was of solid quality.

Given that evenings and nights can sometimes get very cold, it’s worth bringing the best possible gear yourself—wool sweaters, waterproof and sturdy hiking boots, waterproof polyester chaps, and plenty of thermal underwear. It will definitely enhance your overall experience.

Keep in mind that you can only bring 12 kg on the pack horses (including your sleeping bag and mat), so you’ll need to pack very carefully.

Deb puts so much care and effort into preparing breakfast and dinner over the campfire every day.
