Claudia who has been on 2 In The Saddle rides. Amazing safari on fantastic horses | The horses were amazing. I would have been happy to do more cantering but I can see that the heat would make that hard!

Do you have any comments about the accommodation and food?

I think better fans at Macatoo would’ve helped us in the afternoon heat. The food was good! Some days the food was better than others but I think that’s probably just personal preference.

Macatoo was incredible, I will 100% return. Everyone there, from the guides to the back ups to the waiters, were so friendly and fun, and I really felt so well looked after.

My horses were fabulous, one was less forward and maybe slightly less fun to ride than the other but they both kept me so safe which I felt was the most important thing. I would absolutely recommend the camp to all my horsey friends, and I think 6 nights was a great amount of time as it does take a few days to settle into the routine and I left still wanting more! The game viewing was out of this world, and it really felt so wild but in a (mostly) safe way. I loved that we never knew what the day was going to look like, other than that we would have the epic splashy canters.

Feedback wise for Macatoo, I think if we could have had insulated water bottles so that when we were out riding we could have drunk chilled water that would’ve made a big difference as we were so hot a lot of the time. I think also for us to have snacks more available to us (appreciate the monkey issue) would be great, even if they had to be kept in the fridge or in a locked drawer.

We had a fantastic time and I would definitely use your company again, so thank you for your help and I’m sure we will be in touch soon for our next adventure!
