The Accommodation
Do you have any comments about the accommodation and food?
My room was very comfortable and bathroom spacious. There was everything I needed and even things I didn't know I needed ! (yoga mat, poncho etc.) We had a fire on the first few days and nights as it was fairly wet and cold initially, and that was really heart warming to come back to. The staff was very thoughtful, even carefully putting a hot water bottle between my pajama top and bottoms whilst we were having dinner... It was a really nice touch.
The food was also excellent and varied. We had a few argentinian wines tastings which added to the whole experience. I really appreciated our hosts sharing their knowledge and passion for good things. The meals and rides were very sociable events and I really enjoyed that.

Tessa who has been on 4 In The Saddle rides. A wonderful dive in the gaucho's world | I rode 7 horses whilst at Los Potreros, all absolutely wonderful and perfect. They know their job and their home. It really feels safe even for novice riders cantering around the estancia. They are all very responsive, would slow down when asked, otherwise are forward going. They were all a joy to ride and work with when around cattle. They are sure-footed even on uneven ground and agile. They are all very well cared for, with beautiful, shiny coats and healthy muscles, obviously well bred and trained. It was really fun to ride former polo ponies and paso horses! I loved that we had the opportunity to join the gauchos, help with gathering the herd and keep them all together so that the gauchos could catch some of them in order to care for the young ones etc. Turns out I'm a cowgirl deep down and I didn't know that before Los Potreros!
