The Riding
The Accommodation
Do you have any comments about the accommodation and food?
My room had a lovely view and I was quickly supplied with a heater as the bathroom had no underfloor heating as had the bedroom (lovely warm slippers in the morning!)
Food was great though simpler and lighter lunch would suffice when riding twice a day. Plenty of variety for breakfast and quite amusing to be the only “non-vegetarian”.
Before Your Holiday
Did you have all of the information you needed to:
Do you have any other feedback for us?
As promised the riding was extraordinarily good and I cannot add to the previous feedback. It was sad not to do the big climb to the top of the pyramid but overnight storms made it too risky. What I really appreciated was that, unlike many holidays in Africa, you are free to walk and roam the entire beautiful area encircled by the magnificent mountains. Early in the mornings the wildlife was often hidden in the bush but I had many memorable experiences on my own soaking up the beauty, peace and remoteness of that part of Africa.
Lindy is a force of nature and the fount of all knowledge! All the staff took great care of us, although having your tea poured out for you takes bit of getting used to.
Judith who has been on 20 In The Saddle rides. Great for riding and wildlife. | Experience stood me in good stead and I was completely comfortable with the ascents and descents.
I rode four horses and the latter two were more suited to my ability (tiny bit more lively).
