Wolves and Wild Horses - Portugal

Tessa who has been on 4 In The Saddle rides. An Amazing riding Holiday | This is a small family run stables where the care of the horses is paramount.
The horses were a delight to ride and Pedro match horse to rider so well.
The riding routes were different every day and both Pedro and Mariana were knowledgeable about local wildlife, plants and customs. They were both happy to answer our questions which were many

Do you have any comments about the accommodation and food?

The accommodation was of a good standard and typical of the properties in that area. The communal living area was perfect in helping the group bond.
The food was excellent with some local dishes, all home cooked by Mariana. Breakfast was self service style but fresh bread and croissants were dropped off at 8am each morning.
Snacks were left in the house and restocked frequently

How could we improve the quality of pre-holiday information that we send?

There was some information in the booklet that needed updating. The accommodation was only 6 minutes walk from the stables not the other side of the village. Also I think it would have been better to put the non riding activities in the Other Activities section rather than the daily itinerary as these never took place on the day stayed.
However none of this was a major issue

Just to say that Pedro and Mariana were an absolute delight. We all enjoyed their company and they looked after us so well.
On the last day, Pedro drove us to the next village and instructed us how to get to the waterfalls and pools for a swim which was amazing and a much needed freshen up
I will definitely go back again but at a different time of year when the flowers are out
