The Accommodation
Do you have any comments about the accommodation and food?
The accommodation was excellent. I had my own room in a shared cottage with two other ladies. I’ve only put ‘satisfied’ instead of ‘very’ because the main light in my room didn’t work and was never fixed but it wasn’t a huge problem.
Food was sensational - I’m vegetarian and was very well looked after.
Before Your Holiday
Did you have all of the information you needed to:
How could we improve the quality of pre-holiday information that we send?
The itinerary for the Friday was wrong - there was actually a visit to a turf house and to a gift shop which wasn’t mentioned on my itinerary but it was a nice surprise!
The packing list supplied suggested short boots and gaiters. Lois at ITS suggested long rubber boots and I took a pair of riding style long Muck Boots despite the challenge of packing them. I was very pleased I had them on as it rained a lot and other people were getting damp feet!
How could we improve the way we handled your booking and payment?
all fine

Such an exciting trip. I fell in love with the gorgeous Icelandic horses. The staff and guides were all amazing. Riding at tolt over the endless Icelandic meadows following a loose herd of over 60 horses with a rainbow on the horizon will be an enduring memory.
The opportunity to have a go at the ‘flying pace’ on the last day was also fantastic !
Jane who has been on 16 In The Saddle rides. Fantastic week - stunning scenery, beautiful horses | We changed horses at least twice a day. We were given helpful guidance as to the best way to ride each horse. I found ‘tolt’ incredibly difficult to start with ( most of the ride is in this gait) and so was thrilled when I finally mastered it! The horses were fabulous- each very different but all so sweet natured.
