The Riding
The Accommodation
Do you have any comments about the accommodation and food?
Rhiannon and Andrew work hard to accommodate all food requirements (ie: vegan/vegetarian/non dairy etc etc) I am constantly amazed how they go above and beyond, but again, be honest, no good turning up and saying "I don't eat tomatoes", didn't put it on your online preference form and on the first night have a lovely casserole made with tomatoes! I cannot fault the food, the ability of supporting the local communities cafes and restaurants, which is proper tourism and the ability to try new things, if that's you want. I certainly did not starve and the coffee.. Well, if you love your coffee, you'll love it in Spain. Full marks on keeping me well fed.
Before Your Holiday
Did you have all of the information you needed to:
How could we improve the quality of pre-holiday information that we send?
Lois was and is my Consultant on my Los Alamos bookings. I cannot fault her attention to detail, her assistance and ensuring my trips have really been the best run and organised. I have used other equestrian companies for UK based riding breaks and been quite disappointed with this aspect and when you are travelling overseas, you need to know you can rely on the people in the UK who helped organise your trip. Lois you're a star and its why I will continue to use ITS for my trips where possible.
How could we improve the way we handled your booking and payment?
I think the payment and booking system is absolutely fine and I don't feel it needs any tweaking.
Do you have any other feedback for us?
Although I would consider myself an intermediate rider, I feel some of the Countries and rides are out of my experience. I have noticed, sadly, that some rides and destinations post covid have gone. If there is any way some more "Intermediate" rides that are centre based not necessarily a trail set up were possible, I would be very happy to explore new options in the future.
Katerina who has been on 6 In The Saddle rides. Fantastic from beginning to the end | This is a well-run, friendly and fantastic riding holiday destination. The scenery, the villa, the food and the opportunities of riding on forward-going, well cared for horses and meet such lovely people and also not forgetting the family-run holiday, where all the logistics, food preferences and transfers and help are just so professional run are why so many of us love to come back. The riding was, at times, fast so you must be honest about your abilities and be confident in all paces and although you will be matched with a horse for your skills, that doesn't mean you should expect the horses to ride for you - this is not trekking. I would say you need to be a regular rider and have been out of hacks, not just in an arena. You will get the most thrill and enjoyment by ensuring you have worked on your experience and are ready for all the fast and slower paced riding skills required and are happy to meet new people and have a great time.
