Peta who has been on 4 In The Saddle rides. Absolutely Fabulous - again! | The great thing about Ants is the variety of horses available. I had my first experience of Friesians this holiday and enjoyed their characters - I rode four different horses during my 10 days - and each one had its own entertaining quirks! They are a lovely solid ride and had beautiful natures.

There is the opportunity to change horse if you don't feel that you are well matched but I chose to go with the flow and rode who I was given.

Chatting to the guides and volunteers you learn how much work goes into keeping the horses fit and well and the stables are there to see should you wish. I love the fact that after each ride the horses are turned out and are free to roam the property, returning home in time for the afternoon ride and/or their breakfast in the morning.

The guides have their own ways and each ride out is different depending upon who takes you. This keeps things fresh for all.

Should you wish a change of pace - faster/slower - you only have to ask and you can be accommodated.

Do you have any comments about the accommodation and food?

I was in Kingfisher. It is a lovely room with plenty of storage and sockets etc. The shower is great and the bed is comfortable.

I love the fable left in the room at night - really lovely stories such as How the Zebra Got His Stripes and so on.

The food in exemplary. Breakfast serves a choice of continental style buffet as well as cooked options and daily specials. Lunches were always filling and afternoon tea delicious. The evening meals are beautifully presented and really tasty.

How could we improve the quality of pre-holiday information that we send?

In the Saddle are an excellent company.

During the booking process they are really helpful - if you have to make changes or tweak things nothing seems to be too much trouble.

Prior to departure you receive a booklet detailing everything you need to know about your forthcoming trip and the office makes contact to wish you a happy holiday which is a lovely touch.

Upon return you receive a follow up call as well.

Cannot fault the service.

How could we improve the way we handled your booking and payment?

For me, nothing, am really happy with the level of care and attention from booking through to payment, departure and return.

Do you have any other feedback for us?

This was my second booking with In the Saddle and I have my third under my belt which I think demonstrates the satisfaction not only with Ants but also with In the Saddle.
