Kambaku Safari Lodge - Namibia

Kambaku Safari Lodge

5 star rating   26 January 2024

Hannah who has been on 3 In The Saddle rides. Beautiful riding retreat | The guides were so attentive, matching people to horses very carefully and always asking if we were happy with our pairings. They also did their best to keep groups to a manageable size, splitting according to ability. There are plenty of routes around the reserve allowing for sightings of various animals, heading deeper into the bush or cantering through more open plains.

Do you have any comments about the accommodation and food?

Very impressed with the quality of the food provided. I am vegetarian and have adjusted my expectations from previous trips where chefs were not so accustomed to catering for meat-free diets, but here every meal was delicious and they had clearly thought about trying to provide balanced meals.

How could we improve the quality of pre-holiday information that we send?

Nope, can't think of any improvements!

How could we improve the way we handled your booking and payment?

Again, all seemed fine to me.

Do you have any other feedback for us?

FYI the pre-holiday info said that Kambaku provided shower gel and shampoo - they have recently updated their provisions and now also provide conditioner, and all products are local and with natural ingredients. There is also yoga on offer which I'm not sure was in the info pack - some people had gone to Kambaku specifically for this and it was apparently very good.

[Abbie from ITS replies: Many thanks for the update re conditioner; we have updated our suggested packing list accordingly. The yoga weeks run only in January and December. It is really useful to know that this would have been of interest to you].
