Do you have any comments about the accommodation and food?
I am in awe of what well-oiled operation this was! Camp was so luxurious it was basically a mobile-hotel. The team did an amazing job. The campsite along the Mara River was particularly special with so many hippos so close by! The food was delicious and they were able to accommodate the group's wide-range of dietary restrictions.
Also, thank you for the list of recommended hotels in Nairobi to stay at before the ride began. I stayed at Karen Gables and it was perfect for resting and relaxing after the 24+ hrs of travel it took to get to Kenya from home.

How could we improve the quality of pre-holiday information that we send?
Tips are not required, but the operator suggests US$25 per guest per day for the camp staff, and a separate, additional US$20 per guest per day per safari guide. We had 3 safari guides during our week, more than I had anticipated. I was able to use a money transfer app (Wise) to supplement the cash I had brought.

This trip was a real dream come true! Phenomenal game viewing and an awe-inspiring landscape. I feel very fortunate to have had this experience!
who has been on In The Saddle rides. Super luxurious bucket list experience | Riding was as described. On the whole a slower pace on account of terrain and presence of game, but with a few opportunities for trots & canters. Our guides were very tactful managing different levels of experience, health, and fitness in our group. Because of the format with a mid-morning snack break and long lunchtime siesta, there were opportunities for those who wished to transfer to vehicles to do game drives instead of ride.
Horses were in excellent condition, they were a mix of warmbloods, quite sturdy draft crosses, and more stock-horse types.
