The Riding
The Accommodation
Do you have any comments about the accommodation and food?
Sleeping on birch twigs with a mat and reindeer skin for 2 nights and in a bed for the other nights. Food was delicious, a lot of locally sourced reindeer and moose. Always 2 courses and often 3.
Before Your Holiday
Did you have all of the information you needed to:
How could we improve the quality of pre-holiday information that we send?
All I would say is that wellington boots or long waterproof boots for riding in were essential.
How could we improve the way we handled your booking and payment?
None
Sally who has been on 2 In The Saddle rides. Amazing adventure with amazing people! | The information provided by In the Saddle was exactly what we got and Becky gave us a first hand account of what to expect. It was an amazing experience in beautiful country and we learnt a great deal about the Sami culture and people from our trip leader Kerstin. The horses were all very well looked after and cared for and the trip was extremely well organised. The accommodation was basic and as described in In the Saddle's literature, and the food delicious with the majority of meals being cooked on open fires. The 5 days were full on as you are expected to help with all the cooking chores and looking after the horses. We were out in the forests and on the hills with incredible views for the majority of the day and riding for about 4-5 hours. Would definitely recommend.
