The Accommodation
Do you have any comments about the accommodation and food?
My room was beautiful, a picturesque thatched bungalow, comfy bed, plenty hot water for showers to wash off the trail dust. Spotlessly clean. Could be chilly in the evenings but hot water bottles were provided. It probably depends on what time of year you visit. Food was delicious, and there was no problem for vegetarians, though they state they cannot cater for vegans.

I was the only British person, the majority were German so a knowledge of German would be a bonus. However it's certainly not essential and all the staff spoke English. The staff were amazing and knew all guests by first name, I'm not sure how they did it! I was made to feel very much at home and I appreciated the flexibility of programme and the way in which they accommodated my preferences. The optional trip to Etosha National Park is well worth it for the variety of game.
Dorothy who has been on 11 In The Saddle rides. Kambaku safari lodge | A good mix of riding, game drives and bush walks. Very flexible, plan what you wish to do the night before. Wonderful team of people, nothing is too much trouble. Beautiful place, lovely horses to suit all abilities, great food.great food.
Basically, you can choose your pace, if you wish to go faster or slower, just say. The terrain is flat, with well marked trails, for canters, but if you are viewing game you go off into the bush. Watch those thorny trees! I found it quite dusty so a scarf or buff is helpful. Horses for all abilities, very well cared for. Ride guides are quick to spot game which could easily be missed and are keen to share their knowledge of the flora and fauna.
