Highland Trails - Iceland

Nina who has been on 12 In The Saddle rides. Scenery and riding, absolutely outstanding! | I had high expectations to begin with but the riding and scenery exceeded them. I was blown away! Every day is so different for what you see and it's incredibly beautiful. I felt like I was on a movie set every day. I loved the riding. It was fast, just how I like it. I loved how we could ride as we wished. Riding side by side and overtaking was completely ok. The horses all get on so well. [In The Saddle replies: Thank you for your feedback. Do you have any comments about the accommodation and food?

The accomodation is quite basic but still very comfortable. An extra shower would be good. There were 2 showers between approx 18 of us. When one broke for the last two days it was a bit of a problem.
The location of the farm was stunning.
Dinner was fantastic! Traditional Iceland home cooking and so plentiful! Breakfast was more limited on options but that was fine.

Do you have any other feedback for us?

I am so glad I chose this trip. It's my second ride in Iceland and I will do more! I don't think anything could beat the beautiful scenery here. Be riding fit though! The first day was the most physically demanding.
Only niggle I had about the holiday was a bit of a lack of communication. On a few occasions I didn't know what was happening and when, such as coffee and cake after returning from a ride. I'm still not sure if this was a daily thing, lol. But it didn't affect the holiday whatsoever, just a bit of feedback. This was definitely one of my best holidays ever for the scenery.
