Verne who has been on 29 In The Saddle rides. Hi Olwen
Just completed the feedback
Happy to discuss
It was fantastic too manyz’ pinch yourselfz’ moments!
Best wishes
Like being in a wonderful dream | This was a wonderful game viewing experience
Felt safe at all times, guides read the animals’ intentions very well and instructed the group clearly so that no incidents occurred
Pace tended to be leisurely but this allowed everyone to savour the privilege of being around animals in their natural habitat
Faster paces were on suitable terrain and all the horses were very well behaved
After an afternoon siesta the afternoon rides were laid back

Crossing the Mara river (twice) was a great experience

We had a couple of night game drives and a daytime one on the horse’s well deserved day off. We got very close to lions and elephants on the day time drive.

The four camps were carefully positioned for different feels. I particularly enjoyed the one overlooking the river and being serenaded by hippos!
Bed was a bit soft!

Before Your Holiday

Did you have all of the information you needed to:

Plan and prepare for your holiday?
5 star rating
Feel comfortable about your transfers and what to expect?

How could we improve the quality of pre-holiday information that we send?

Guidance e re taxi tipping. Think it should be made clearer that the recommended amount is for the journey and not for each passenger.
(In The Saddle - thank you - we have made this clearer)

Guidance re return to Nairobi and onward flight. Eg returned to Nairobi airport c17:30 but had to hang around for at least 2 hours before check in at BA desk for 22:45 flight (fellow rider who was with Kenyan airlines could check in straight away as desks were open).

(In The Saddle - we understand that it had been suggested you be taken to a hotel for dinner but that you had chosen to go directly to the airport - not knowing that the desks of some airlines don't open until 3 - 4 hours prior to the flight.
The safari operator will always take you to a hotel for dinner so that you don't have to arrive at the airport until 3 - 4 hours prior to your flight.

How could we improve the way we handled your booking and payment?

All was fine
