Jayne who has been on 11 In The Saddle rides. Sweden Explore Winter - Incredible Experience | Wonderful Icelandic horses, with impeccable stable manners, who were well cared for and really enjoy their work. We were lucky to experience clear and bright days and so the riding, albeit limited to around 2 hours at any one time, was thoroughly enjoyable. A good blend of forest rides and lessons in the oval with the evening forest ride being a highlight particularly as we experienced the northern lights. The planning and management of the riding at the farm was impeccable and the staff exemplary.

Do you have any comments about the accommodation and food?

Wonderful National dishes served and on days we were out in the forest for lunch the cooking over the fires was tasty and fulfilling. Meat based meals on the whole (moose & reindeer) complimented with veg or salad. Desserts were served and there was always plenty of fresh coffee and tea. We stayed in the “black house” which was newly built accommodation and was warm, comfortable and had great views over the paddocks and wider landscape.

Always superb and the pre- holiday phone call from Abbie wishing me a great trip is a lovely touch.

Do you have any other feedback for us?

The overnight stay at The Ice Hotel is a great experience and not to be hesitated at. The riding was fully complemented with the other activities of Dog Sledding, Snowmobiling and Reindeer Sledging. Wonderful and lasting experience that I would wholeheartedly recommend.
