The Accommodation
Do you have any comments about the accommodation and food?
You can charge your telephone in your tent. There is no longer a central charging point. Kate said that this had been the case for a while.
Red wine, white and rose is available not just "beer and some spirits". We also had bubbly on several occasions.
The meals were beautifully set out, served and prepared. It was great to eat with the guides and managers too.
Before Your Holiday
Did you have all of the information you needed to:
How could we improve the quality of pre-holiday information that we send?
I thought there would be lots of mosquitoes and that I would have to cover up in the evening in fact there were none and we were told they are only more numerous in January and February when the grass is longer.
The information on packing riding clothing and important bits in a carry on bag was vital as 2 separate groups lost their luggage for several days.
I would have liked a guide book of the flora to have been available at camp
How could we improve the way we handled your booking and payment?
Ensure initial quote is accurate.
Email a warning that the balance will shortly be required.
Do you have any other feedback for us?
The staff at the camp went out of their way to ensure we had the best possible experience. If you wanted a change from riding it was arranged. It you wanted a later start before a game drive it was also possible.
I also loved the way the camp worked so well. It certainly appeared harmonious and the staff contented. It was interesting to hear how it was managed.
Susan (this is their first In The Saddle holiday) Close observation of animals from horseback with relaxing camp comfort. | Able to ride out in all directions from the camp and only once saw any other safari groups and that was right at the far edge of the jeep's range.
The guides went to great lengths to ensure we saw a lot of wildlife, passed on a lot of information but were not shouting commands and instructions. Loved the hand signs given for the animals spotted and change of pace.
