Borana - Kenya

Charlie (this is their first In The Saddle holiday) Riding Safari | The riding was superb and we loved it, particularly the ride to and from the fly camp. The guides, George, Humphrey and Nicholas, are excellent - trustworthy, well-informed and a pleasure to deal with. The horses are forward going, but very manageable. They are athletic, but clearly well maintained. They are sure-footed and seem to know the terrain. The fly camp is a wonderful experience and possibly the highlight amongst many great experiences at Borana. The whole family (4 good riders and one newish rider) had nothing but good things to say about the riding experience at Borana.

Do you have any comments about the accommodation and food?

Borana is probably the best place we have stayed at on any holiday. It is in a beautiful location on the side of a hilll overlooking a large watering hole. The views are spectacular. The rooms are large, stylishly furnished and immaculately clean. The food is delicious and seems to keep on coming. Every member of staff we dealt with was delightful. Special mention to Tatiana who is excellent and to Peter, our guide, who we loved. He is extremely knowledgeable, has a quiet charm and communicates very well.
