The Riding
The Accommodation
Do you have any comments about the accommodation and food?
I had a whole cottage to myself (which to be fair I had paid extra for - but it was even better than I'd expected). And even at the mountain hut there were enough small rooms to have a room to myself again which I hadn't expected.
The food was excellent and there was plenty of it!
Before Your Holiday

How could we improve the way we handled your booking and payment?
You can't!

It's a whole different riding experience and Iceland has a special magic.
Don't let the thought of bad weather put you off - tho it might affect your choice of type of ride - for example I like my comforts these days so don't tend to 'rough it' any more. Just make sure you have enough warm gear and you'll probably find the weather will be excellent and you won't need it!
And finally, just to say Magnus and his team were wonderful!
Rosemary who has been on 41 In The Saddle rides. I love the tolt! | I loved this holiday in spite of the 'four seasons in one day' for which I think it's fair to say I was not fully prepared in spite of thinking I had packed enough warm clothes. I think I wore most of my clothes in one day on one or two days - mainly due to the wind - so thank goodness for the orange waterproofs supplied! (And I am also now the proud possessor of an Icelandic jumper.) I loved riding these beautiful horses - and the tolt must be the most comfortable gait ever. (We also briefly sampled the flying pace - it just made me laugh!) To ride in front of or behind a herd of some 40 horses was a joy and the horses are so chilled - some would just come up to you to say hello as you wended your way through them to meet your next horse to ride. Stark and stunning volcanic scenery too.
