Miyak Tribe Trail - North Macedonia

Miyak Tribe Trail

5 star rating   28 August 2022

Kate who has been on 9 In The Saddle rides. Stunning Macedonia, exciting and amazing trial riding and life experience | The riding exceeded expectations. Every terrain and some steep climbs up and down along with faster paces where possible. Wonderful mountain horses and saddle saver really helped with long days riding!

The camping was a fabulous experience and the thermals came in handy. The food was delicious and all diets were catered for in ample portions - loved the local fruit and tomatoes and picking plums and cherries from trees while riding.

How could we improve the quality of pre-holiday information that we send?

The booklet with map was really helpful - only additional tip for clothing list is Sedducci riding underwear (top tip from the Dutch girls on the trek) as they really help prevent chaffing and also Rainlegs which go down to knee and easy to wear as a belt and roll up and down as needed.
[Becky from In The Saddle replies: This is a great tip, thank you for sharing!]

How could we improve the way we handled your booking and payment?

No all good

Do you have any other feedback for us?

The cultural and historical part to the trail and Vazco's enthusiasm really added to the whole experience. I loved the Miyak Trial and despite issues with my back the team looked after me so well and even provided a separate guide so i could finish the trail at walk (as canters hurt to much). Once in a life time experience, tough but incredibly rewarding. I cried when i left my horse, Caraman and loved the bonding with the rest of the group and non-riding support team.
[Becky from In The Saddle replies: I'm so pleased to hear how much you enjoyed your holiday. I do hope that your back is feeling better now though.]
