Before Your Holiday
Did you have all of the information you needed to:
How could we improve the quality of pre-holiday information that we send?
I was the only person in my group who booked with In the Saddle, and I was also the only person who had a clear sense of what the actual itinerary involved and also what the baggage limitations for the small plane back to Joburg were. Everyone else appeared to have been given very different (and wrong) information which caused them some frustration (esp. for those who hadn't anticipated the long drive - 8 hours! - between SA and Botswana).
Only one thought - I didn't know that my NHS Covid docs needed to be in hard copy, which resulted in a bit of panic around 9pm the night before we travelled to Botswana. Luckily the local team were able to sort it out for me, but might be worth In the Saddle suggesting that everyone prints this stuff out (esp. as BA are now recommending that people use an app called Verifly to handle travel docs of this kind, which can trip you up for onward journeys if you don't also have a hard copy).
[Becky from In The Saddle replies: Thank you very much for your feedback and we are so pleased you enjoyed your holiday and felt well prepared.
We make sure to send the current entry requirments throughout the booking process and again two weeks before the holiday with the final itinerary. We suggest for all travel that it's safer to have a paper copy as well as any digital documents. I'm pleased that Horizon were able to assist you whilst you were on holiday.]
How could we improve the way we handled your booking and payment?
Nothing, this was great.
Sarah who has been on 2 In The Saddle rides. Amazing | It was well-paced and the horses were forward-going and sure-footed.
