The Accommodation
Do you have any comments about the accommodation and food?
Joan required dairy-free, and this was almost always accommodated without any problem. In spite of all the exercise we got daily, we gained weight. That says it all.
Before Your Holiday
Did you have all of the information you needed to:
How could we improve the quality of pre-holiday information that we send?
I can't think of anything. I think you nailed this one.
How could we improve the way we handled your booking and payment?
Given that you stood on a booking made in 2019 we would be pretty ungrateful to suggest improvements !
Do you have any other feedback for us?
This was a very special experience. I wanted to visit a school in the area and tentatively suggested to Natalie that I might take time out to do so. "It's your holiday - you get to decide" was the answer. She arranged everything and we had a wonderful visit; some of the footage on the video was from the school.
Several aspects made this far more than another good riding holiday. The back-up team, the lunches, the drone and camera photography, the trouble taken to make the video, and the depth of experience and knowledge that Nat and TJ bring to all conversations. Their attention, and the attention of their staff, was at our disposal at all times. We really felt that our enjoyment and expanding our knowledge were the only things they focused on for the time we were there. Clearly, it's a business that must pay the bills, but they manage to create the impression that they are having a good time too. A much-appreciated touch was the taking care of all tipping at the lodges by TJ.
Richard who has been on 2 In The Saddle rides. Wonderful, stimulating, memorable week. | The riding is frequently amongst villages and around cultivated land, so not open country gallops like other safari experiences. We were well aware of this beforehand. It is very special to ride so close to villagers and children, especially as there is no horse culture in the area. There are enough good canters to enjoy, and wonderful scenery all around. The guides made it very comfortable for all of us. Horses were fit, eager, well-schooled and had functioning brakes when needed. They know their job and were solid in all terrain. There are quite a few hours in the saddle, so best to be riding fit to enjoy the experience.
[In The Saddle - so pleased that you enjoyed this great riding holiday].
