The Riding
The Accommodation
Do you have any comments about the accommodation and food?
It would have been helpful to have an introduction to water and what to use when - both at the ranch and on the trail. Water inevitably limited at times but it took some time to work out where to wash hands etc.
Before Your Holiday
Did you have all of the information you needed to:
How could we improve the quality of pre-holiday information that we send?
It was fine when it arrived!
How could we improve the way we handled your booking and payment?
You could have lashed out and sent the pre-ride information out first class instead of second to save all that messing about before we left! A false economy.
[In The Saddle replies: It's unfortunate that your final travel documents were delayed due to the restricted postal service during the UK's heatwave. We're glad the replacement set reached you in time by special delivery.]
Do you have any other feedback for us?
This holiday wouldn't be for everyone and although I've said I'd recommend it to friends, it would only be to a few who like wilderness, camping, etc etc. But thank you from me - it was fab.
Sue (this is their first In The Saddle holiday) Yukon Shine Valley - a wonderful adventure | The ride was in wilderness on a scale I couldn't have imagined. The terrain was steep, boggy or through quite dense brush at times. Not what you would consider riding through in the UK! But the horses took you through it all and made it possible to spend 7 days without seeing another person who was not part of the group. Wide glacial valleys, high mountains, beautiful lakes, sub-alpine tundra and mixed boreal forest. Long days in the saddle, always at a walk (you couldn't go faster and no need!). An experience that will always live in my memory.
[In The Saddle replies: We are so pleased that you enjoyed your Canadian adventure. Thank you for taking the time to tell us about it.]
