Susan who has been on 3 In The Saddle rides. The time of my life | The riding exceeded my expectations. The horses were so beautifully schooled and responsive. At no time did I feel that I might not be able to stop at canter or gallop.

The horses were so fit and nimble footed. My horse (Gordi) barely broke out into a sweat after a full days riding.

All the staff were delightful. Rachel has an uncanny ability to match horse to rider. Jose and Roberto were so relaxed but inspired confidence.

The terrain was perfect. I couldn't have wished for better. The pine forests with wild rosemary and lavender, the deep sandy tracks, the magnificent fire break gallops and, of course, the beach.

Do you have any comments about the accommodation and food?

The accommodation was excellent. I particularly like the common room (kitchen/lounge/dining area). It was located away from the bedrooms and open 24/7. I like to get up early and it was great to be able to make a cup of tea first thing in the morning and sit and contemplate the day ahead.

The only slight niggle was that on the day we arrived there was a howling gale which caused draughts in the bedroom. The accommodation was full (10 guests) and we all had our electric heaters on which caused a power outage a couple of times (Andrew did say that this was due to supply issues - obviously out of his control). There was also an incident when the gas ran out for the showers, so we had to brave the chill!

The other guests were so friendly and we 'gelled' as a group. There was no awkwardness or difficult personalities. We had so much to talk and laugh about.

Andrew and family were such superlative hosts. It was like staying with friends we had known a long time.

How could we improve the quality of pre-holiday information that we send?

I think the information provided is perfect. I would prefer not to receive a plastic wallet for environmental reasons. A paper/card wallet would have been preferable, particularly as the information is provided electronically as well.

How could we improve the way we handled your booking and payment?

No improvements required. In the Saddle is the best travel agent I have dealt with in the 40 years of booking my own holidays. I cannot speak highly enough of your company. It was delightful to deal with people who really cared about the holiday I was booking and made me feel like a human and not a sales figure.

Do you have any other feedback for us?

I loved this holiday so much that I have already booked again for May 2023, along with my daughter Rachel and Karen, whom we met whilst at Los Alamos.
