Paddy who has been on 5 In The Saddle rides. Luxury Riding safari surpasses all expectations. | The riding was excellent and set with the beautiful backdrop of both the Chulu Hills on one side and Mount Kilimanjaro on the other. Possibly one of the highlights was riding for 2.5 hours out to a bush breakfast complete with silver service on a table covered by a white table cloth.

Do you have any comments about the accommodation and food?

Ol Donyo Lodge fully matched up to our expectations and the bar had been set very high by previous reviews. Wonderful rooms with glorious views over the plains to Mount Kilimanjaro whose snow capped peaked was clearly visible from the bathtub!
It was also a pleasure to be able to sit by our own room pool and look down at the game, particularly elephant and giraffe, visiting the waterhole just in front of the hotel.
All the staff were charming, helpful and very keen to ensure that we always had everything we needed. They could not have worked harder to ensure we had a wonderful break.
It should be noted that the food was exceptional by any standard.

I would like to say a major thanks to Sarah for being so thoughtful and helpful to us whilst we were in Kenya worried about our return journey back to the UK after Kenyan government imposed travel restrictions because of the Covid19 outbreak. It was particularly reassuring to know that she wanted to ensure our safe and speedy return.
