Dotsky who has been on 9 In The Saddle rides. kei river mouth and Okavango Mobile safari - 2 holidays back to back - both excellent | Long gallops on miles of empty beaches on the South African Wild coast followed by a week camping in Okavango with amazing wildlife viewing. The highlight? Galloping with a herd of giraffe, followed by zebra and wildebeest.

Do you have any comments about the accommodation and food?

Loved my room at Kei River Mouth, was made to feel really at home there and excellent vegetarian food served. Tents at Okavango were huge (even the smaller ones at the fly camp were pretty big.)The food was nothing short of amazing especially given the remoteness of the location. Somehow our chef managed to cook the most amazing vegetarian meals in his tin box oven. All served beautifully as the sun set and the elephants visited the waterhole.

How could we improve the way we handled your booking and payment?

It would be good if you could routinely handle 'add on' such as the shuttle to Heathrow. It was offered late on in my plan but at very inflated prices from that which I could get myself. For example I was offered the Manchester to Heathrow shuttle for around £300 by ITS but got it myself (on the same day) for around £130. I would have expected ITS could get a better deal. Similarly with overnight accommodation, I needed somewhere cheap and cheerful for one night in Johanasberg between trips but was only offered expensive hotels - not worth it for my 12 hour stay! ITS put a lot of hardwork in organising my trip - the shuttle and overnight would streamline the whole experience and in the scale of things it seemed a minor thing to add on. [In The Saddle: Thank you for raising this. I'm sorry we weren't competitive with these add-on's and will look at how we could do this better.]

Do you have any other feedback for us?

Once again ITS have lived up to my expectations of a wonderful trip from start to finish. Knowlegable staff who have visited the places themselves is so helpful for pre trip info and advice. I always have confidence that the horses used will be well looked after. Their welfare is possibly the most important factor in booking an overseas riding holiday. The guides themselves are also very well informed and are dedicated to ensuring that guests have a good holiday.
