Luberon and The Camargue

2 star rating   21 September 2019

Sue who has been on 4 In The Saddle rides. Five days on horseback is always enjoyable | There was a significant amount of road work (minor lanes) on the first day. With temperatures in the 30s the tarmac reflected the heat. The gallops in the Camargue were great fun and the horses, as ever, generous of spirit. In the mountains they took me to places I could not walk to.

The horses are in good condition on a diet of hay and grass (surprisingly no hard feed). Over winter they get four months holiday in the Jura as a herd.

How could we improve the quality of pre-holiday information that we send?

All perfectly clear.

How could we improve the way we handled your booking and payment?

It all went smoothly. The new beige travel wallets shed a lot of fibre - glad I still had my old navy one!

Do you have any other feedback for us?

In relation to the question "would you recommend this holiday to your friends" this would not be one of my top 10 riding holidays, not because there was anything wrong with it but other places/countries have done it better in terms of food, accommodation and stable management - I'm lucky to have ridden a lot of trails.

I would be selective about recommending it - the "no" below feels a little harsh and they are a nice family. My true answer is a "maybe" depending on to whom, rather than yes/no.
