Riding Holiday

5 star rating   27 June 2019

F (this is their first In The Saddle holiday) Piaffes in Portugal | had wanted to go on a dressage holiday and it was certainly that. The dressage teaching, schoolmaster level of the horses and therefore the level of execution possible even for me was to a level that I have not been able to access at local riding schools.

Do you have any comments about the accommodation and food?

Food very good. Breakfast just right. Fish dinner, something to look forward to every evening. Plenty of salad and vegetables. Fruit always available. Table wine available at dinner.
Mealtime and its setting conducive to very civilized socialising and company.
Vegetarians were well catered for.
Constructive ( hopefully ) comment , that specifically lunch was more generous than I should and could eat soon before my afternoon lesson, and since I gather the charge was £16 for lunch, less meat at lunch, less volume and less expense, would have been even better.

Rooms were kept clean
Great to have a swimming pool to cool off in!
I was impressed by having a boot jack left outside my door on arrival. It was good to have a washing line to hang items on.

How could we improve the quality of pre-holiday information that we send?

If I had known there was a boot jack provided, I would not have taken my own.

How could we improve the way we handled your booking and payment?

There was confusion over the pick up time, but this seems to have been generated at the Alcainca end.
