The Riding
The Accommodation
Do you have any comments about the accommodation and food?
The communal areas are really pleasant. The only thing that was missing was a communal area for cold weather (which we didn't expect at Easter!) but there wasn't anywhere to go apart from the bedroom when we weren't out/riding where we could sit and read comfortably. Food was excellent and varied apart from breakfast which felt a bit repetitive. The staff were all really kind and lovely.
Before Your Holiday
Did you have all of the information you needed to:
How could we improve the quality of pre-holiday information that we send?
All ok.
How could we improve the way we handled your booking and payment?
All ok.
Do you have any other feedback for us?
We were only there at start of the season so children's activities slightly overpromised (bareback riding, games, stable management etc). Beatrice (11) was able to manage afternoon/morning rides without any issues and would have been very bored just doing lessons. Vladimir was a brilliant guide - interested in area/history/local stories, which really made the rides enjoyable. The horses were all extremely fit and eager, but easy enough to control.
MrsH (this is their first In The Saddle holiday) Olive groves and citrus trees | I think I slightly underestimated what I would be able to do and so felt I could have been stretched more. I also wasn't 100% sure about what the cost of my holiday permitted in terms of riding. I thought I would be given an assessment at the beginning and then would be told what I could do. But that didn't really happen, and I had to ask for more challenging faster paced rides. I did get this but it would have been better to know from the beginning… My daughter's experience did satisfy her and because we were often riding together I was happier that she was happy & safe. But I really needed the ride I had on the last day or I would have been feeling slightly underwhelmed!
