Catherine (this is their first In The Saddle holiday) Fantastic riding on wonderful horses. Lots of canters in beautiful countryside and some gallops to get your heart pumping. | Lots of varied riding from wide open fields to riding through old forests. The guides Sam, Tanya and Mika made every ride interesting and fun. They can tell you lots about the local area and are very approachable. There are lots of canters and some exhiliarating races that the horses love. We even had the opportunity to pop some small logs in the forest. A great ride that I would happily do again!
[Becky from In The Saddle replied: This is great to hear and I'm so pleased you enjoyed the riding!]

Do you have any comments about the accommodation and food?

The accommodation on the whole was good and it was often better than I expected. Water temperature when showering is not always consistent in some of the places we stayed . The food was good with plenty to eat and lots of fresh local food and I enjoyed some lovely traditional Romanian meals. The bbq on the last night was a wonderful end to the ride.

Before Your Holiday

How could we improve the quality of pre-holiday information that we send?

I can't remember if you include this but a suggestion to take riding gear (hat, breeches and boots)in your hand luggage. My suitcase did not make my connecting flight but luckily I carry my riding stuff in my hand luggage. IfI hadn't I wouldn't of been able to ride for the first 3 days.
[Becky from In The Saddle replied: On each itinerary we send out, for all rides, we suggest everyone takes riding gear in their hand luggage. This means that if the airline loses checked luggage or there is a tight flight connection and luggage goes astray, you can still ride on arrival.]

Do you have any other feedback for us?

The guys at Equus Silvania do a great job of looking after the horses and guests and have lovely welcoming atmosphere.
