Heather (this is their first In The Saddle holiday) OK so although the staff did their best I think it's important that you know the following, we were only able to ride in the school for at best 1 hour each for two out of the three days, we had one sunny day so rode up around a track for 1 hour. The weather really dictates whether you can ride or not because of the terrain, the horses cannot go on the roads and I understand why. So in essence this was not a riding holiday as I would have hoped, the spa was closed when it was raining so that was also not an option, we had a great time as a group because you could put us in a room for three days and we would get along and make the best of it but it's important that you make it clear to anyone booking. We are used to hunting in any weather, you dress appropriately and get going. Thanks.

Sue who has been on 5 In The Saddle rides. So much to see! | On day one, I was not quite convinced I had the right horse. We had a short ride on the beach and Eclipse was a bit naughty. But from Day 2 onwards we settled well into the longer day rides. He was a bit quirky and not unlike my horse at home so I was very happy with him. A good size, forward going, keen and with character.

An unforgettable experience | My current physical limitations mean that I need frequent changes of pace and this wasn't always possible because of the nature of the terrain and/or the group I was with. This is in no way a reflection on the guides or organisation: they did their very best to accommodate my needs and the way in which everyone from complete beginners to experienced riders was catered for was truly remarkable.

Wow | Wow this holiday was amazing, Donnatella is an amazing horse woman, the horses are forward going, sensible so nice to ride, I rode 3 all perfect, the riding is very good plenty of trots and canters more than we hoped for. Our group of 5 were great we all got on so well. Donna is very safety conscious which is good, staying in line was perfect for us it's what you should do for safety, the food is outstanding, all fresh produce, very tasty and plenty of it. The picnics on full rides are just out of this world so much food. Tuscany is a beautiful place both Donna and Sadio know so much about the area and happy to share the knowledge they have with you, we had wine tastings, saw castles, beautiful areas and a trip to Sienna. Nothing is too much trouble for Donna and Sadio they go out of their way to make your holiday one you will never forget, they helped me so much with dismounting, all I can say is I would recommend this holiday 100 per cent and wish I was doing it again tomorrow.

Nicky (this is their first In The Saddle holiday) Wonderful | Lovely treks. However there were 11 riders. Also I was in the middle of the group and my horse was a very fast walker and would have been better placed at the front. Pecking order was not able to be changed due to some unfriendly horses. However I moved up in thevlast 10 mins! Should have asked earlier!

Wendy who has been on 7 In The Saddle rides. Fantastic riding ,horses and locality | The horses are all very well cared for and the stable area is very clean and tidy . All the tack and saddles were in good condition.
The horses are all strong and forward going and there are horses to suit different types of rider . I rode 4 different horses throughout the week and all were a pleasure to ride .
Each day there are lots of opportunities for short and long canters and short and long trots . The area where we rode is stunningly beautiful with rolling hills , typical Tuscan houses , castles and fields of vin yards.
It is a fantastic place to ride and particularly so in May as everywhere is green and there are beautiful flowers in bloom .

Liz who has been on 9 In The Saddle rides. Excellent holiday in all aspects | The riding was at a faster pace than I expected considering the terrain but was very happy with the pace.
We were not allowed to change position in the line due to the horses temperaments and speed.

Vikki (this is their first In The Saddle holiday) Amazing landscape and nature, enthralling and exhilarating and wonderful hosts | Pedro is one of the most experienced horseman I have met and makes sound judgement of matching riders to his horses. I was matched to Didi who is an endurance horse and was kind whilst forward going, gave me ample confidence and really felt a bond during the week.

Amber (this is their first In The Saddle holiday) Fantastic riding in beautiful countryside | The horses were exactly as described in the trip description, very forward going and fun to ride but wonderfully well behaved and sensible at all times, even when the shepherd dogs came barking! The two horses I rode on this trip were very good-natured but always ready for a canter. They all had such unique personalities that made riding in a group a really fun experience.

Ria who has been on 2 In The Saddle rides. African Explorer - An incredible adventure! | The riding definitely met my expectations. All the horses were well behaved and you could clearly see they were well cared for.

Although both the horses I rode on this trip were excellent, I think my horse in Botswana (Prisma) was a stronger match as I'd requested a hunter-type build. He was fantastic and I couldn't have ridden a better horse. My horse in South Africa (Scarlet) was lovely and really tried her best, but she was very dainty and delicate and she struggled slightly to keep up with the group canters on the third and fourth days.
