Sarah (this is their first In The Saddle holiday) Unforgettable Spanish riding experience! | The rides on this holiday were fabulous. A perfect variety of beautiful forest trails and long sandy beaches. The terrain and wonderful horses allowed us to expeience exhilatrating long canters and gallops. Cantering through the water on the beach and galloping in the firebreaks was our highlight and something we would be unlikely to experience at home.

Lorna (this is their first In The Saddle holiday) Legends of Los Alamos! | What an absolutely unbelievably cool holiday!! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left Los Alamos we were truly cared for by Andrew, Rhiannon and Rachel. The riding was one of the coolest things I’ve ever done and, despite not having the best weather, the team adapted the timetable so we got our beach gallop in on the first day and managed a fire breaker gallop on the last - we didn’t miss out on anything! Jose and Roberto were totally brilliant whilst we were riding and we felt we were in safe hands at all times - the ‘little canters’ were the best!! The accommodation was fabulous and the food and drink totally first rate - you catered for the different needs of our group brilliantly.

This was the perfect first riding holiday and it’ll be hard to beat the hospitality, riding experience and overall fun we had with a fabulous bunch of people.

Absolutely fantastic holiday | The riding took us through forests where we could gallop along sandy firebreaks and on the beach for more fast work, spaced with walks to take in the views. We took the horses in the sea and we had regular stops on each ride to take photos. The rides were exhilarating but the horses were safe, responsive and surefooted. I loved every minute of it.

Judy who has been on 10 In The Saddle rides. Wonderful riding holiday | Rachel does an amazing job matching horses to riders, the dynamics of the group and weather conditions - no mean feat! I rode 3 horse and they were all fit, responsive, eager and well schooled. Think forward going but with good brakes if needed, and this is exactly what you get. Lovely riding through the forest and on the beaches. Lots of canters and gallops too. Jose kept us fully informed on the rides about any changes of pace and checked regularly to make sure everyone was ok. Early mornings to enable us to ride on the beach meant setting off in the dark which was a new experience for me, but they are so well organised it wasn’t a problem at all, and we got to see sunrises too.

Another great time at Los Alamos | As always, Andrew, Rhiannon, Rachel, Jack and Denise looked after us impeccably, with lots of support from Hose and Roberto out on the rides. The level of attention to detail is amazing and the chilled atmosphere, despite the frenetic activity that must be happening behind scenes, is just incredible.
Lovely rides on great, well-schooled and cared-for horses.

I was able to ride 4 different horses during my trip it was really enjoyable.

Stupendos Los Alamos!! | Los Alamos as a riding holiday experience far exceeded my expectations (and they were quite high as two friends have been previously). The horses are so well cared for and loved and are super fit and forward going. Rachel is an expert at matching the horse to the rider's experience and she got it right perfectly. I had two horses during our stay to ensure the horses get rested, but I could have changed again if I wanted to. I fell in love with both the Spanish mare called Camboria and the Arab gelding called Rio. The trails through the Forest and beach are very relaxing, mixed with canters and adrenaline-pumping gallops. I was transformed into a big kid and could actually race my mate on one gallop. We were very lucky with our group of riders as they were all interesting people from mixed backgrounds/ages and were accomplished riders.
The horses are carefully selected so you can choose your own pace.

Mid week we went on a trip to the Spanish Riding school and that was a good experience.

In a nutshell I loved it so much that I've already booked for next year so that say's it all!

Lovely riding through the forest and beaches of rural Spain | I had high expectations for this ride due to its reputation for being the best selling ride in Europe and for the number of people who return year after year and it didn’t disappoint. Rachel knows her horses inside out and is able match riders to their perfect horse. The horses are all immaculately cared for. The scenery is picturesque with a blend of forest trails with some lovely beach gallops.

Ros who has been on 17 In The Saddle rides. Fantastic, exciting holiday. | I had a bad riding accident, 3.5 years ago but managed to get back in the saddle a year after. However I was missing fast riding in open country. In Spain the weather (end of May) was glorious, if quite hot. I had 3 lovely horses to ride and the riding exceeded my expectations. We had exciting long canters and gallops in the umbrella pine forests and along sandy beaches. I went on my own but both our hosts, Andrew, Rhiannon, Rachel and Jack and the other riders (who had been before) were so welcoming, that I felt at home. The horses were fantasic, well cared for and matched to each rider. My favourite of the 3 (Portabello) was my first ride and a joy to ride but it was nice to be able to try a couple of other horses as well. I felt really safe despite have lost some of my confidence after the accident.

Very professional and friendly yard owner and guides. A really fantastic experience. Early morning beach gallops and fast fun in the firebreaks but also gentle walks through flowering areas of the forest with the horses crushing wild oregano under their hooves. Magical.

Our group were well matched in riding ability. Everyone was experienced and up for the thrill of fast riding when conditions were appropriate.

The horses are wonderful! Well schooled, keen, fit, responsive and very forward going. The riding is not suitable for beginners.

Rachel puts a lot of thought into matching the right horse with the right rider. She truly loves and understands each horse in her care. Jose and Roberto are both excellent horsemen and it was a privilege to be under their guidance whilst on horseback.

The riding and the horses were beyond my expectations, and my expectations were high!
