Mary who has been on 16 In The Saddle rides. Fabulous Riding, great Service and Accommodation | I was very satisfied with my horses. The horses were very well cared for and the saddles and riding equipment in excellent condition. There were plenty of opportunities for long canters and riding among the wildlife was such an experience.
[Abbie from ITS replies: Thanks so much for your lovely feedback. We are really pleased that you enjoyed your riding adventure in Kenya].

Debbie who has been on 16 In The Saddle rides. Cantering in Vast African Spaces | Although I was a repeat rider at Ol Donyo, stable managers change and Laura was new to me. Despite her youth I was impressed with her knowledge of each and every horse and after chatting with me she found my dream horse - Narok. As a "senior" rider, sporting two brand new hips, I wanted security but not boredom and Narok, at 20, delivered. Laura got it just right and I forgot I was so ancient!

Suzanne who has been on 6 In The Saddle rides. Magical Once in a Lifetime Experience | All riders have their priviate guides. I would let the guide know what pace and how long of a ride I would like to do. When my husband came along we went much slower. Everything is so personalized. The horses are incredibly cared for and you could tell how much they loved them. I fell in love with my horse who was perfect for me and my husband also had an incredible horse. We also had our personal game driver who was so incredible. We designed what we wanted to do each day. If my hubby and our guide went hiking but I rode, we would meet up somewhere special. It was so incredible how personalized EVERYTHING was.

Margaret who has been on 8 In The Saddle rides. The best horse riding safari experience | This was a dream come true after 2 years of waiting. The 3 horses I rode were wonderful and lovely characters. I always wanted to canter on an African Plain and had a great experience. We had a riding assessment to see how we rode at the school at the stables. It was fantastic to get close to many types of antelope (impala, Gazelles, and Okapi), we saw giraffe, zebras, cheetah, an elephant, warthogs, many type of birds all from horseback. The wonders of riding up to a bush breakfast (a first for me) added to the magic of the place and the peace and quiet made this so memorable.
Mikaela who has been on 3 In The Saddle rides. Very luxurious lodge, good quality horses, a bit samey staying for 8 days | I wasn't expecting to ride only with guides ie not with other guests. In order to get to the plains where one could canter or gallop, one had to walk through the bush for about half an hour - which did allow for the possibility of seeing animals but got a bit boring. In parts of the plains there were a lot of "holes" (animal burrows), which is probably why we mainly cantered and only very occasionally galloped.
They catered to my wishes to ride in the morning and in the afternoon everyday, and exhausted me, which is what I was hoping for! The lead guide was both informative and friendly and I enjoyed his company.
