Sylvia who has been on 4 In The Saddle rides. This is how mobile safari is done! | The riding was as promised- more relaxed pace on surefooted horses to enjoy the nature and wildlife sightings, which we had plenty of. Despite that, we had daily long trots and canters and were even treated to a beautiful flat out gallop. Even if this is considered a slower ride, I would advise to come fit and don't underestimate the long hours in the saddle, heat and elevation. The wellbeing of the horses and safety of the riders is paramount to Felicia and Gordie and it is obvious how well are the horses taken care of and how loved they are.
The tack was in pristine condition, checked daily and after few days I really appreciated the seat saver.

Rosie who has been on 3 In The Saddle rides. An amazing return visit - Maasai Mara with Gordie and Felicia Church and their team | This was our second visit to the Maasai Mara with Gordie and Felicia, as a result we knew what to expect and this visit very much met our high expectations. The riding is sensibly paced with an emphasis on game viewing and having respect for the wildlife.

Wendy who has been on 18 In The Saddle rides. Wonderful and worth every £ ! | Doing a horseback safari for milestone birthdays has become a bit of thing for my friend and I and this one definitely did not disappoint! From our lovely hosts, the fantastic friendly camp crew, fab food (and bar!), great camp locations, comfy beds under canvas, the wonderful horses, and the amazing game viewing it really had it all.
We knew the pace was leisurely and this ride was all about the wildlife which was there in abundance, but the riding was still fun, the horses were loved and well looked after, and I don’t think I would have been disappointed riding any of them.
Nothing was too much trouble on this holiday, and everything was done with a genuine smile. It really was a special experience that has left me with memories I will treasure.
[Abbie from ITS replies: Thank you so much for your fabulous feedback. We're absolutely thrilled that you had such a special time in Kenya].

Belinda who has been on 7 In The Saddle rides. Best ever in every way. | Gordie and Felicia run the best camp in the best place ever. The horses were well suited for riding among giraffes, elephants and all sorts of wildlife encountered in the Masai Mara. If you have ever dreamed of Africa, love to ride, this is the ride for you. It is the best.

Verne who has been on 31 In The Saddle rides. Hi Olwen
Just completed the feedback
Happy to discuss
It was fantastic too manyz’ pinch yourselfz’ moments!
Best wishes
Like being in a wonderful dream | This was a wonderful game viewing experience
Felt safe at all times, guides read the animals’ intentions very well and instructed the group clearly so that no incidents occurred
Pace tended to be leisurely but this allowed everyone to savour the privilege of being around animals in their natural habitat
Faster paces were on suitable terrain and all the horses were very well behaved
After an afternoon siesta the afternoon rides were laid back
Crossing the Mara river (twice) was a great experience
We had a couple of night game drives and a daytime one on the horse’s well deserved day off. We got very close to lions and elephants on the day time drive.

Casey (this is their first In The Saddle holiday) Absolutely amazing! | It was absolutely perfect for my riding ability and what we were looking for. I am an intermediate rider and was matched perfectly with the right horse for me (Flash) and found the pace to be very comfortable. If anything, it was a bit slow / too much walking which would be the feedback from my husband who is a more advanced rider. But overall it was an amazing experience, for both our first safari and riding holiday.

Tim who has been on 3 In The Saddle rides. Masai Mara Ride - an amazing experience | The horses were all in tip-top condition and were responsive and well behaved, It was clear that Felicia had taken great care to match the horses to the riders. All of us really enjoyed our horses. We specifically booked this holiday for the wildlife experience and as such fully expected a leisurely pace getting very close to a wide variety of game, yet feeling totally safe in the experienced and capable hands of Gordie
I have to say we had heard great things of this trip from a few years ago and, with that in mind and the Covid wait we had built up very high expectations of the holiday. Our expectations were very much exceeded. Where this safari really excelled was the personal hands-on involvement of Gordie and Felicia in every aspect of the holiday
The whole camp team were simply wonderful, it was great to see that everyone was so happy, friendly and obliging. The service was first class, the tents and beds excellent and the food was superb
We can can certainly recommend anyone seeking a true wildlife experience to book this trip.

who has been on In The Saddle rides. Super luxurious bucket list experience | Riding was as described. On the whole a slower pace on account of terrain and presence of game, but with a few opportunities for trots & canters. Our guides were very tactful managing different levels of experience, health, and fitness in our group. Because of the format with a mid-morning snack break and long lunchtime siesta, there were opportunities for those who wished to transfer to vehicles to do game drives instead of ride.
Horses were in excellent condition, they were a mix of warmbloods, quite sturdy draft crosses, and more stock-horse types.
