Haciendas of the Andes was a fantastic ride! It made me appreciate the beauty of Ecuador, the solitude of wide open spaces, ever-changing landscapes, and expanse of big sky. It is definitely a place to be discovered and enjoyed on horseback.

Sally was a wonderful, gracious and professional host and guide, incredibly caring of horses and riders, alike. She provided so many extra thoughtful touches and details throughout the ride. She shared interesting information about the history, geography, wildlife, plants, people and culture of Ecuador - a well-rounded trip in so many ways.

Incredible holiday, underrated destination! | Sally and her team take wonderful care of the horses, being mindful of their fitness and adjusting horses based on the rider’s preference. You can really tell how much Sally loves her horses, and the bond she has with each one. I was well-matched with both horses, and the one I rode most, Eric, is my favorite horse I’ve ridden on any riding holiday.

The actual riding itself, in terms of pace and terrain, was phenomenal. This was among the most beautiful countryside I’ve ridden in with spectacular views. Riding in front of a volcano with wild horses was an experience I’ll never forget. I didn’t know what to expect, but in every way-Ecuador blew my expectations.
