Abbie began riding in Scotland at the age of three. She has enjoyed a wide range of equestrian activities ever since; from bringing on young horses and schooling to competing in dressage and show jumping. She holds a BHSPT qualification and has taught at riding schools, livery stables and competition yards in England, America and Canada.
Whilst at Loughborough studying for a degree in Politics, Abbie rode for her university - competing in dressage show jumping on unknown horses was a real challenge! Having finished university, Abbie spent two years as the Pony Club Instructor at Holme Farm Equestrian Centre in Derbyshire.
Since joining In The Saddle in 2006, Abbie has ridden in Spain, Romania, Botswana, Peru, South Africa, Hungary, France and Brazil.
