Location:

At Grootberg Lodge, near to Palmwag in Damaraland. Nearest international airport is Windhoek.

Weather:

Dry arid climate, hot in mid summer. Winter will be around 20's°C during the day, dropping to near freezing at night.

The Riding

For the main rides you should be fit and competent riding at all paces and secure in your seat due to the possibility of encountering elephant. My top tip: I highly recommend spending two or more nights camping out to explore further afield into the Damaraland plains.
