Location:

A ride on the beaches and through the mountains of the Snæfellsnes peninsular in Western Iceland. Nearest airport is Keflavik, the international airport near to Reykjavik.

Weather:

In the summer months of June and July there are 24 hours of daylight. Average temperature is 10 to 12 degrees.

The Riding

Much of the riding is at a tölt, which can be fast so you need to be a confident rider able to adapt to different riding styles. General fitness is as important as riding experience due to the long hours in the saddle.... more »

My top tip: Be prepared for long stretches of fast riding at a 'tölt', and don't forget your earplugs for the mountain huts and farmhouse!
