The weather in New Zealand can vary at any time of year, from sunny days, frosty nights on rain at any time. Be prepared for all weather conditions. October and May can even see snow falls.

The Riding

Due to the nature of the terrain and the fact that you have pack horses on the trail, all the riding is done at a walk. You are often riding over uneven terrain and will need to get off and lead your horse down some very steep hills.... more »
