Location:

Riding in north west Rajasthan through the Great Indian Desert with sightseeing in Delhi, Jaisalmer and Jodhpur. Nearest airport is Delhi.

Weather:

Indian winters provide good riding weather - hot mid-morning with cooler afternoons. Temperatures can drop at night time in camp.

The Riding

The Marwari horses are spirited and forward going. You should be a competent rider, confident on a horse in the open at all paces. There are some long stretches of canter and you need to be able to keep your distance.... more »

Tanya Johnson says: Out in the Great Indian Desert from camp to camp gives plenty of opportunities for faster riding. A highlight is riding in the the enormous Nagaur Fair which must be seen to be believed!

My top tip: This is India so be prepared for curry at every meal time! Do keep an open mind though - it tastes much better out there!
