This unforgettable riding adventure includes four nights in South Africa at a luxury safari lodge and four nights on safari in Botswana in the Limpopo Valley.
The first half of the safari takes place in the heart of the Waterberg mountains at Dinaka Lodge. This is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and one of the last true wilderness areas of South Africa. Species to be seen include rhino, hippo, buffalo, giraffe, ostrich, zebra and over twenty species of antelope. You stay four nights at Dinaka safari lodge, with sweeping views across the Waterberg.
The second half of your safari takes you north to the Limpopo Valley in the Tuli Block in Botswana. The riding trails here cover both the riverine terrain and the mopane bushveld, including the famous sandstone formations of the Tuli. The area is famous for its elephant, but you should also see eland, impala, giraffe, hyena and hopefully also leopard, lion and perhaps cheetah and wild dog. At Limpopo you stay in comfortable bush camps in spacious safari tents. Between April and October you start and finish at Two Mashatus main camp and ride to two other camps. In February, March and November you are based for four nights at Two Mashatus main camp. The camps at Limpopo are not enclosed and a real treat will be to see game in and around camp.
