Our riding itineraries in Rajasthan include the really “must see” sights of the area. On the Assam ride you visit Kaziranga National Park, the finest place to see Indian greater one-horned rhinoceros. On all our Rajasthan rides you see the highlights of Delhi and Jaipur and on some you visit Agra, Jodhpur, Udaipur or Jaisalmer. In addition to these great places, you may wish to extend your stay in India and we would be pleased to tailormake your holiday.

BANDHAVGARH NATIONAL PARK

Bandhavgarh is a small national park, but with the highest known density of tiger population in India. This is also known as white tiger territory. The other species found in abundance in Bandhavgarh are gaur or Indian bison, sambar, barking deer and nilgai. The terrain of rocky hills, forests and grazing areas was formerly agricultural land. The finest of these hills is the Bandhavgarh Hill and on its highest point stands Bandhavgarh Fort believed to be about two thousand years old.
Day 1: We recommend you make the long journey from Delhi by overnight train departing around midday.
Day 2: Arrive Umaria in the early morning and transfer to Bandavgarh National Park and to your accommodation. Afternoon game viewing in the Park.
Day 3: Morning and afternoon game viewing.
Day 4: Morning and afternoon game viewing. After the evening game drive depart for Umaria Station for overnight train to Delhi.
Day 5: Arrive Delhi late morning.

RANTHAMBORE TIGER RESERVE

Situated in Rajasthan, Ranthambore Park is one of the finest tiger reserves in India. Its dry deciduous forests sprawl over an undulating terrain of the Aravali and Vindhya ranges.
You may see other fauna including sambhar, chital, nilgai, chinkara, langur and wild boar. The birdlife here is also excellent. A visit to the well-preserved imposing fort, built in 994 AD is well worth the time. Ranthambore is a relatively easy transfer from the end of one of the Rajasthan rides and you can stay for two or more nights.
Day 1: In the morning, drive from Agra or Jaipur to Ranthambore (c. 5½ hours) and transfer to your hotel for three nights. Afternoon game drive.
Days 2-3: Morning and afternoon game drives.
Day 4: Final morning game drive and return by train to Delhi.

KERALA

After an exciting riding holiday, you may wish to consider some rest and relaxation in Kerala. With the Arabian Sea on the west, the western ghats to the east, Kerala is networked by forty-four rivers. This is an easy place to sit back and enjoy. The name means “land of coconuts” and the palms provide welcome shade from the tropical sun. Kovalam is recognised as one of the best beaches in India, tranquil stretches of emerald backwaters, lush green hill stations and exotic wildlife, ayurvedic health resorts - all of which offers a unique experience. You may choose a short three or four night stay at a beach hotel or extend your trip to include a visit to a hill resort.
Day 1: Fly from Delhi to Cochin and transfer to your hotel for four nights.
Days 2-4: Three days of pure relaxation, to enjoy spa treatments or cruise the backwaters.
Day 5: Return flight to Delhi.
