The national games are held in Ulaanbaatar from 10 - 13 July. This festival of horse racing, wrestling and archery is a unique and colourful experience. We can arrange visits to the games before or after your ride.

The Hustai National Park is the site of a re-introduction scheme for Przewalski's horse which has been extinct in the wild since 1992.

Karakorum, the ancient capital of the Mongol Empire in the 13th and 14th centuries, was destroyed by the Chinese Ming dynasty and is now the site of Erdenezuu monastery.

Hongor Sands is a giant 80km sand dune in the Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park in South Gobi.

Travelling via Beijing is one of the best routes to Mongolia. This is a great excuse to stop for two or three nights and explore the city. We can arrange guided tours of the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Temple of Heaven, Great Wall and Summer Palace.
